Guess Who's Back?

Mom and Dad finally got back home early this morning. I was so excited to see them but I'm still upset with them for leaving me. I had a great time with my pugsitter Natalie, but I missed Mom and Dad terribly and I don't ever want them to leave me again.

I was so upset yesterday because they are usually gone for seven days and when they didn't come back yesterday I did something bad - I made poopie in the house. I just couldn't figure out a better way to let everyone know that I was upset and I figured if it works for Pearl then it will work for me. Natalie wasn't too upset with me because she knew that I was missing Mom and Dad but she did mention to me that it was not like me to do something like that. Mom and Dad weren't that upset about it but apologized to Natalie for me. Next time maybe they will take me on vacation or not go at all.

The picture above is of the beautiful Hawaiian sunset from 39,000 feet as Mom and Dad were leaving the islands. Mom told me that she couldn't take her eyes off of her last vacation sunset and that she had to take a picture so that I could see what it looked like. It is beautiful.

As the plane cruised back to the mainland, Mom took this picture of the top of a seamount in the archipelago. Mom is not sure of the name of this seamount, but it looked cool from the air.

Mom has been telling me all about the trip since she got home. They did this and that, went here and there, saw this and that, yada, yada, yada. Get to my presents already woman! Mom was so tired when she got home because she didn't sleep on the plane, so we took a nice long nap until noon and then she showed me what she brought back for me. I was sure she would buy me a new stuffie, a cool Hawaiian collar, some delicious Hawaiian treats, or some other great gift. I did not expect her to buy me some fabric. What was she thinking? I have no idea what she is going to do with three yards of this pug fabric but she seemed a little disappointed that I'm not excited about it. She said that she may make a pillow for me or a new liner for my bed. If anyone has any ideas for Mom, please let me know. I fear that this fabric will get stuffed into a closet and forgotten about until my 25th birthday!

This is not for me because as all of you know it's not good for us doggies. Mom and Dad always bring backs too many bags of these Kisses, so if you are on their Christmas list you will find a bag under your tree.

Mom cannot stand to have fully loaded after vacation luggage lying around so she has been unpacking like a mad woman. It's time like this that Mom thinks it would be better to haul all the bags to the laundromat and get all the laundry done is a couple of hours. Did you know that the world's largest laundromat is just outside of Chicago in a place called Berwyn? Berwyn is not close to our house (it's south of the city and we live north of the city) and I'm sure I am not allowed in the laundromat so Mom will be doing laundry at home where she belongs.

I was so upset when Mom was unpacking that I decided to investigate the dirty clothes bag. It smelled really yucky and I loved it. Dirty laundry is my favorite thing to lay in. I get my cute little pug nose into all the underwear, socks, and shirts, and just sniff away. Ahhhh. I decided to climb into the bag and this freaked Mom out. She quickly grabbed her phone and started taking pictures.

Mom was freaked out because I have never climbed into luggage. I usually walk around it and poke my head in, but I never set foot in it. This is me laying the biggest guilt trip on Mom ever. My face says "Don't leave me again or else!" and I think she got the point. She kept asking me what was wrong and if I was okay.

I figured I would continue the guilt trip to see what I could get out of Mom so I decide to lay down in the bag. Look at my face! I'm upset and I want everyone to feel my pain. Mom was so upset that I thought she was going to cry. She sat down and gave me lots of pets as I laid in the bag, telling me that she was sorry and that she hopes I will forgive her. Of course I will forgive her. She's my mom and I love her madly. I'm glad that she's back and I'm going to stay in this bag forever if it will keep her from leaving me again.

Oh Stubby, I was almost going to cry for you. I bet you did a good job of making your Mom feel guilty. You could of added a little pee-mail to the luggage to give your final point of view on her leaving you. I am sure if they could of they would of taken you along.

I am addicted to Hersey's Candy Cane Kisses they have out during the Christmas season. I love macedamian nuts too and never realize you could get them chocolate covered in Kisses, those have got to be delicious.

Beautiful sky view pictures.

Oh Stubby, I'm so glad your mom and dad are back! That pug fabric is awesome! It would make a wonderful liner for your bed, or a great puggie pillow cover. Those pictures your mom took are great, too! She sure will have some adjustments to make returning back here -- not quite "Hawaiian" weather here, and it's supposed to get colder tomorrow! Brrrrr, stay warm -- that luggage may actually be a great place to lay down and cuddle to stay warm :) Heeeeeeee!

Hey Stubby-

We are happy for you that your pawrents are back from their vacation. Our mom is jealous that they got to go to Hawaii they must've had sooo much fun. Our mom went in June she stayed @ a house @ Mauna kea but she said her favorite place to snorkle is the Mauni Lani.

Ofcourse we didn't get to go either! We are sure that your pawrents missed you and will be making it up to you with presents under the Christmas tree!

Lots of licks~

Hi Stubby,

They went to Hawaii without you? Well, you wouldn't have liked it anyway. They're kind of fussy about their beaches. Nothing beats a good back yard!

Luv,
Riley and Star.

YAY!! Welcome home Momma and Poppa de Stubby! I missed you!

You really do look pretty sad there in the bag, Stubby! AND you pooped in the house?! Two paws up from me! Nice appeal for sympathy!!

Hope things are back to normal around your house now!!!

Hi Paula! I really thought about adding a little pee-mail to the bag but I thought that would push Mom over the edge.

Mom told Dad to hide the Kisses so she doesn't eat them all before Christmas. I'm not sure why she loves them but she does.

Hi Gen & the Foo! I can't believe there is another Stubby in Chicagoland. I'm going to check your bloggie to see where the meetup was and ask Mom if we can attend next time so that you can meet the original Stubby.

Hi dw! Mom was very sad to get on the plane to come back to winter weather. She is so over the cold and snow already that I don't know what she's going to do. Winter just started and Mom is already ready for spring.

Hi Oakley & Swisher! Mom and Dad had so much fun in Hawaii without me. That's so cool that your mom stayed at a house at Mauna Kea. Mom said that Mauna Kea is the coolest place ever.

Mom said the snorkeling at the Mauna Lani was great and that there were lots of turtles. She also told me that she didn't see any pugs on the island. I think all of us should go there and start a revolution.

Hi Sequoia & Tuni! I knew you guys would love the the dirty laundry stuff. It's like a magnet drawing me to it and I can't help but sniff and sometimes lick it - yummy!

Hi Tweedles! I'm glad my parents are back too because I missed them way too much this time. They missed me too but they had a great time while I didn't.

The more I look at the pug fabric the more I like it. I will post whatever it is Mom eventually does with it. And the Kisses are on their way to being history!

Hi Riley & Star! They always go to Hawaii without me. I think you guys are right about the beaches and I don't want to go if I can't go to the beach. Mom talks non stop about the beach and it sounds like it's the best place ever, but only if they allow dogs.

Hi Pearly Poo! I missed you too! I tried to get on to the computer but I just couldn't get the top opened.

I knew you would be proud of me pooping in the house. Now it's too cold to poop outside so Mom is watching me like a hawk to make sure I don't do it again.

Stubby, just stay in the suitcase and your humans can't go anywhere without you!

Stubby said...

Hi Rosie! Thanks for stopping by. That's great advice and I think I'm going to take it. I'm going to plant myself in the bag so that they either have to take me with them or else they can't go. Great thinking!

Nice job of making your mom feel guilty. We love those in the bag photos. The fabric is cute. Is your mom going to make a blanket for you? A nice soft, cushy pillow to sleep on also sounds like a nice idea.

Hi Salinger! My peeps are never leaving me again! I am putting my paws down and I will pee and poo in their bags to keep them here.

Too bad Mom decided to wash all the icky clothes. I was having such a great time laying in them.

Hi Roxy & Lucky! Mom still feels guilty and I'm milking it for all it's worth. I think she understands that I mean business this time and I that I'm very unhappy.

The fabric is still sitting in the bag so I have no idea what Mom is going to do with it. Maybe she will make bandanas for me and all my friends. How cute would we look with matching bandanas?

Hi Stubby! Molly here!

Glad your folks had a nice trip! I'm sure they missed you terribly!

(I really don't blame you, though, for making them feel guilty.)

Can't wait to see what your mommy does with the fabric!

Hugs -

Molly

Hi Molly! My parents did miss me terribly but not as much as I missed them. I can't wait to see what happens with the fabric either. Hopefully whatever it is will happen soon.

Hi Melissa & Emmitt! My parents are staying put forever. I will live in their suitcases if it means I can go on vacation with them.

I told my parents that I wanted to go on vacation to Colorado and they said maybe next year. I told them about Emmitt's meatloaves, the ponchos, and the bears. They are warming up to the idea.
